Lenovo laptop overheating and fan repair
Loud fans, a hot base, slowing down under load and sudden shutdowns on Lenovo laptops: cleaning, new thermal paste and pads, and new fans.
What’s it doing?
| Symptom | Usually means |
|---|---|
| Fans loud all the time | Dust in the heatsink fins and dried thermal paste. A full clean and new paste. |
| Slows down after a few minutes of work or gaming | Thermal throttling. New paste and new thermal pads on the memory and power stages. |
| Grinding or rattling fan | A worn fan bearing. The fan is replaced. |
| Switches off under load | Overheating, or a failing battery or charger. We test under load. |
Legion and LOQ gaming laptops and ThinkPad P workstations run hot under load. A clean and new paste every year or two keeps them fast and quiet.

Questions

Do you give a price first?
Yes. We diagnose the laptop and tell you the price before any repair. Nothing is done until you agree. The price calculator shows our prices by range.
