What’s it doing?

| Touchpad lifting, clicking by itself or the base bulging | A swollen battery. Stop using and charging it and book it in: a swollen lithium battery can catch fire. |
| Only works on the charger | A worn or failed battery, or sometimes the charging circuit on the board. We test both. |
| Battery drains much faster than it used to | Normal wear after a few years. A new battery restores the runtime. |
| Shuts down at 20 to 40% | Worn cells or a calibration fault. We check the battery’s health and cycle count first. |
Most recent Lenovo laptops have the battery inside, under the base cover. Lenovo Vantage has a battery charge threshold setting that slows wear on laptops that are mostly plugged in; we can show you how to turn it on.

How long does it take?
Most repairs take one to three working days once the part arrives. We order the exact part for your machine type.
Do you give a price first?
Yes. We diagnose the laptop and tell you the price before any repair. Nothing is done until you agree. The price calculator shows our prices by range.
Is my data safe?
A repair doesn’t wipe your storage. If we ever need to reinstall Windows, we copy your files off first and check them with you.
