Lenovo laptop keyboard replacement
Missing, sticking or dead keys, ThinkPad TrackPoint and button faults, and keyboard backlighting that has gone dark, on every Lenovo laptop.
What’s it doing?
| Symptom | Usually means |
|---|---|
| Keys missing or broken | A single key can sometimes be refitted; otherwise the keyboard is replaced. |
| Keys not working after a spill | Liquid in the keyboard, and often on the board underneath. Switch off and book it in quickly. |
| TrackPoint drifting or buttons not clicking | A worn TrackPoint cap or sensor, or the touchpad buttons. Usually fixed with the keyboard or the touchpad. |
| Backlight dead or flickering | The keyboard’s backlight circuit or its cable. |
On many IdeaPad, Yoga, Legion and LOQ models the keyboard is fixed to the top case, which is replaced as one part. We fit the UK layout unless you ask for another.

Questions
How long does it take?
Most repairs take one to three working days once the part arrives. We order the exact part for your machine type.
Do you give a price first?
Yes. We diagnose the laptop and tell you the price before any repair. Nothing is done until you agree. The price calculator shows our prices by range.
Is my data safe?
A repair doesn’t wipe your storage. If we ever need to reinstall Windows, we copy your files off first and check them with you.
