Lenovo laptop liquid damage repair
Water, coffee, tea or a fizzy drink spilled on a Lenovo laptop. Switch it off, unplug it, and don’t try to turn it on again.
What’s it doing?
| Symptom | Usually means |
|---|---|
| Still works after the spill | Switch off anyway. Corrosion starts within hours and can kill the board days later. |
| Dead after the spill | The board is cleaned ultrasonically, corroded parts replaced and the power rails tested. |
| Keyboard or touchpad not working | Liquid in the keyboard or the touchpad connector. Usually fixed with a clean or a new keyboard. |
Many ThinkPads have a spill-resistant keyboard that drains small spills out underneath. It buys time, but the liquid can still reach the board, so switch off and book it in.

Questions
How long does it take?
Most repairs take one to three working days once the part arrives. We order the exact part for your machine type.
Do you give a price first?
Yes. We diagnose the laptop and tell you the price before any repair. Nothing is done until you agree. The price calculator shows our prices by range.
Is my data safe?
A repair doesn’t wipe your storage. If we ever need to reinstall Windows, we copy your files off first and check them with you.
